Project Name: Skating Event

Project summary and highlights:

Rented the ice for 3 hours, along with a room. The arena canteen provided the food. Tickets were handed out to skaters who wanted lunch. Lunch was a hotdog or hamburger, and a drink.
The event fell on March break for kids; therefore, many were in attendance with family members. 71 lunch tickets were handed out with roughly 120 people skating.

Describe lasting and relevant impact to the OFA membership.  

The event was an opportunity for LAFA to connect with both its members and the wider community. Promoting the event got our brand/name out into the public in a positive way and will help with name recognition in the future. The event was an opportunity for us to meet members and stir up some more interest in our organization. We wanted to give back to our members in an affordable way and it was something active which promotes the importance of getting away from the farm and recharging your social batteries. It was an easy event to put on and created a connection point during the winter months.
