We are looking for an interested, committed individual with relevant experience to fill a seat on the Lake Erie Region Source Protection Committee.
There is a vacancy for one of seven seats representing the economic sector, which includes three from the agricultural community. The term of office will begin in the fall of 2021 and last four years.
The 24-member committee oversees the development and update of plans to protect the sources of municipal drinking water and reports on implementation in four watersheds: Grand River, Long Point Region, Catfish Creek and Kettle Creek. The work is being done under the Ontario Clean Water Act, 2006.
To be eligible to apply to represent the agricultural community on the Lake Erie Region Source Protection Committee you must reside in, own or rent property within the Lake Erie Source Protection Region. Click here to view a map outlining the eligible area.
