Project Name: Slow Moving Vehicle Project

Project summary and highlights:

For producer awareness our local federation handed out window stickers for cab equipment to remind producers to take an active role in highway safety. These were given out at producer meetings and local community events.

Describe lasting and relevant impact to the OFA membership.

Continuing education for the public both producers and other motorists. At each event we are sure to educate the public of the rules of the road when approaching a vehicle with a slow-moving sign.

Bonus – any lessons learned, or surprises?

I was surprised how much community engagement we received with questions about road safety, and we were able to direct them to the section in the OFA website regarding road safety and farm equipment.
