Project Name: CPR and AED training
Project summary and highlights:
Grenville Federation members had the opportunity to learn life saving techniques from the St. John’s Ambulance course. These techniques will be an asset for these individuals on their farming operation and elsewhere in the community in case a medical emergency arises. These individuals now have the basic know how to save a person’s life until an ambulance or EMT arrive.
Lasting and relevant impact to the OFA membership.
The lasting impacts of offering first aid courses to the farmers in Grenville county is that we would have more community members trained to respond to emergencies both on and off the farm. As many of our farmers are also volunteers in the community, this will ensure that we will have CPR and AED trained volunteers in case of an emergency. These individuals now have the basic knowledge on how to save a person’s life until an ambulance or EMT arrive.
