Crop Awareness Signs in Grey-Bruce
Grey and Bruce County Federations purchasing sign materials for roadside usage. These signs would name the crop in the field, carbon sequestration details and end uses for consumers. The intention of this project is to highlight local food production and to educate. When putting up the signs it gives the federations the opportunity to engage with county members and encourage director recruitment, which will be a win for everyone. Another benefit to these signs is the education to the community as both Grey and Bruce Counties contain “cottage country” and have many visitors during the summer months.
These locally-designed signs will be installed by Federation directors and will contain both GCFA and BCFA logos as well as OFA if funding is approved.
