OFA reiterated its support for the provincial government to provide adequate funding to our rural municipalities to address the difficult financial circumstances facing many rural municipalities in Ontario. OFA opposes returning to the former Farm Tax Rebate Program as a possible solution noted in a municipal resolution originating from the Township of Mapleton. OFA provided background information and explained the shortcoming of the former Farm Tax Rebate Program.
