In OFA’s written submission for the pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2019 federal budget, OFA clearly outlined the opportunities that would keep Ontario agri-food businesses competitive and drive provincial and federal economies. For example, OFA called for infrastructure investments in rural communities, improvements to the Income Tax Act by addressing current financial disincentives, and remedying agri-food sector labour shortages through regulatory improvements and skills training.
