OFA hosted a meeting with MPP Amanda Simard during OFA’s lobby day at Queen’s Park on December 9 and discussed key issues and priorities for Ontario’s agri-food sector and our rural communities, including the intent and importance of Bill 156 – Security from Trespass and Protecting Food Safety Act, 2019 to farmers, employees and livestock. Bill 156 was created to ensure food security through the value chain is protected, from farm to table, balanced with allowing individual’s right to protest as long as it is done in a legal manner.
