OFA recently hosted our first-ever virtual Queen’s Park lobby event on May 4-5, 2021, which included meetings and conversations with 22 Ontario Ministers, MPPs and government representatives.
As a follow up to the two day-event, OFA developed a spring 2021 issue of From the Field – MPP Newsletter. Inside the newsletter, OFA highlights key issues and messages discussed with government policymakers, including continued infrastructure investments, farmland preservation, vaccinations for farmers and agri-food employees, mental health and skilled labour. It also features insight from young farm leaders Ashley Knapton and Ethan Wallace on their experience engaging with elected officials.
