What is In The Know?
In the Know is a 4 hour mental health literacy workshop developed at the Ontario Veterinary College (University of Guelph) and designed specifically for the agriculture community. Spearheaded by Dr. Briana Hagen and Dr. Andria Jones-Bitton of the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph, In the Know aims to build mental health knowledge and increase help-seeking among farmers. The workshop was designed in collaboration with stakeholder groups, including the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, various commodity group representatives, mental health literacy trainers, government and representatives from social work, psychology, epidemiology, and education.
