OFA comments on: Proposal to return lands to the Greenbelt (Amendment to the Greenbelt Plan) & ERO # 019-7562: Proposal to return lands to the Greenbelt (Amendment to Greenbelt Boundary Regulation O. Reg. 59/05).

OFA supports the Ontario government’s decision to reverse the Greenbelt land swap.  OFA looks forward to working with the government to continue addressing the province’s housing, while protecting farmland and the agricultural system.  OFA reiterates its position that farmland must not be lost to development.  We believe the continued protection of agricultural land is in the best interest of Ontario’s food security, growth, and community development.
