OFA fully supports the renewed emphasis on science in public policy decision-making. The adoption of innovative scientific advancements and technologies will improve the adaptability, efficiency, and productivity of agriculture in Ontario. OFA recommends the Chief Science Officer’s role should be limited to providing scientific evidence to inform public policy, rather than to championing or establishing specific public policies.
