This session covered Ontario’s trespass laws and how they are enforced in rural settings, with particular attention to hunting, fishing, and recreational use. Attendees learned how these laws apply in real-world situations, along with the rights and responsibilities of both landowners and members of the public. The presentation will also explore common challenges such as unauthorized ATV use, hunting-related concerns, and general trespassing on farmland, while clarifying the roles of police and conservation officers. Finally, participants will be introduced to best practices for reporting incidents and practical strategies to enhance farm and rural safety.
