OFA has provided comments to Environment and Climate Change Canada on proposed amendments to the Clean Fuel Regulations.
OFA supports the proposed amendment that would require a higher percentage of low-carbon intensity (LCI) fuel used in Canada to be produced domestically. OFA agrees this approach is necessary because Canada currently lacks sufficient domestic production to meet overall LCI fuel demand. This measure will build a competitive market, able to supply reliable quantities of low-carbon intensity fuels, balanced with an affordable end cost for low carbon intensity fuels.
