The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) presents its second in a series of webinars on topics and issues impacting OFA members and the agricultural industry. New Guidelines of Ontario’s Wildlife Damage Compensation Program outlines recent updates to the program. The webinar is hosted by OFA along with our guest Jane Widdecombe, Manager of the Agricultural & Rural Programs Branch at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).
The Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation (OWDC) Program provides financial assistance to owners whose livestock, poultry and/or honey bees have been damaged or killed by wildlife. In the fall of 2016, OMAFRA concluded their review of the Wildlife Damage Compensation Program and implemented a number of changes that came into effect on January 1, 2017.
The webinar provides a summary and overview of changes to the program and provides OFA members the opportunity to engage in a Q & A session with the program administrator.
