OFA stated how current government programs do not adequately compensate farmers for the significant financial burden caused by wildlife damage to crops and livestock. OFA supports policies and programs to minimize, and hopefully eliminate, the risk of pathogen transmission between farmed cervids (deer) and wild Deer populations.
