OFA objected to agriculture being singled out as the only named threat to the yellow-breasted chat on the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Park’s Yellow-breasted Chat webpage. OFA demanded that the webpage section, “What threatens it” be rewritten to include all five threats (residential and commercial development; agriculture and aquaculture; natural system modifications; invasive and other problematic species; and climate change and severe weather) cited in the Draft Recovery Strategy. Of these five identified threats, agriculture’s impact was deemed to be “low” in the Draft Recovery Strategy.
