OFA requested that the regulations scheduled to come into force on January 1, 2019 under the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017 be set aside and that the Ministry of Labour open consultations with employers to ensure existing regulations reflect the realities of agricultural workplaces. This Act amended the Employment Standards Act, 2000 and the Labour Relations Act, 1995 and made amendments to other Acts.
