OFA stated its concern with the proposed change to Regulation 730 under the Livestock Medicines Act to prohibit the sale of medically-important antimicrobials by Livestock Medicine Outlets. OFA recommends these outlets be permitted to continue to sell and dispense medically-important antimicrobials, with a valid veterinary prescription, to ensure Ontario’s livestock producers have timely access to medications needed to maintain animal health and welfare.
