OFA provided its support for a proposed research project to characterize nutrients in the soil and water and model their transport under future conditions. Nutrient loadings from many sources, including agriculture, can cause water quality concerns in rivers and lakes. It is anticipated that climate change may exacerbate these concerns, although it is not yet fully understood under what conditions or to what extent these impacts may be felt.
