
Marnie Wood became a director on the Ontario Federation of Agriculture board in 2025, as the representative for farmers in Durham, Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes/Haliburton.
She is a second-generation dairy farmer from Cannington, where she farms with her husband Brian and two children, as well as a director with the Durham Federation of Agriculture and a member of the Lakeridge Health North Durham Community Advisory Panel.
Marnie is passionate about farmer mental health and wellness and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing. She became a registered psychotherapist after studying at the University of Toronto with the Toronto Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education. She also holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and rural extension from the University of Guelph.
