The Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario, Fertilizer Canada, Grain Farmers of Ontario, the Ontario Agri Business Association, the Ontario Federation of Agriculture along with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness have renewed the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) for the 4R Nutrient Stewardship program for a third term.

Spoelstra to serve third term as Ontario Federation of Agriculture president
Drew Spoelstra of Binbrook has been acclaimed to a third one-year term as president of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), the leading voice for 38,000 farm families in the province. Returning to the OFA executive with Spoelstra for a second year in the two Vice President positions are Sara Wood and Ethan Wallace. Paul Maurice was re-elected as Executive Member.

Six exceptional individuals pursuing careers and leadership roles in Ontario’s agriculture sector have been recognized by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture with scholarship awards of $2,000 each.

Ontario Federation of Agriculture announces director election results
GUELPH, ON [September 16, 2025] – The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) welcomes two new and one returning director to its board table following elections in three of its zones. Larry Davis of Burford was re-elected as the provincial director for Zone 3, representing farmers in Brant, Halidmand and Norfolk. Davis, an OFA director since 1989, farms with his wife and son, growing crops and raising sheep. Davis ran against chicken and beef farmer Henry Lise and beef and crop farmer Steve Sickle.

Farmers support 41 community projects with new Revive Fund investment
The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) has approved more than $96,000 in funding to its Revive Fund for 2025. Additional contributions from county and regional federations and other partners will boost that investment to approximately $267,900 for projects to be completed this year.
