The purpose of this session is to assist farm business members in understanding what’s happening within the farm insurance markets. There will be information to help members identify challenges and opportunities and increase their understanding of insurance practices to assist them while making decisions about how to protect their operations.

Speaker bios:

Ben Eastman, Senior Consultant, Farm – National Portfolio
Born and raised on a cash crop and dairy operation which still operates in the Ottawa area. The family farm operation holds memberships in both OFA and Gay Lea. Ben currently resides in Bowmanville, Ontario with his wife and two daughters.

Mark Walmsley, Farm Underwriting Manager
Mark has been with Co-operators for over 30 years and currently the national farm underwriting manager.  Although presently residing in Calgary, was raised in Frontenac County near Kingston, Ontario.  Prior to being the underwriting farm manager, held several roles within Co-operators, including: commercial underwriting, claims, and managing sales staff.
