Equine Industry Symposium
16 November, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 20 November, 2020 @ 8:30 pm
The University of Guelph in association with Ontario Equestrian and Equine Canada is hosting their 5th annual Equine Industry Symposium on November 16-20. Join OFA’s Farm Policy Analyst Danie Glanc and other expert guest speakers to discuss this year’s theme, RESILIENCE: Rethinking, Restructuring, Re-evaluating due to COVID-19.
On November 16, Danie will be discussing how the pandemic has impacted the equine community. In her role at OFA, Danie is responsible for science and evidence-based policy, which includes farm animal care and welfare. She works regularly with equine commodity groups on relevant agricultural issues affecting the equine industry, including the racing and sport sectors. Holding an M.Sc. in Animal and Poultry Science, Danie combines her academic knowledge and years of experience in the equine industry to bring an agricultural lens to equine policy topics. She is a Director at Large on Ontario Equestrian’s (OE) Board of Directors, is chair of OE’s Equine Welfare and Advocacy Committee, and participated in several equine COVID-19 working groups.
Join Danie and other guest speakers in these live webinar sessions to discuss the status of the equine industry, and what steps can be taken to activate growth and success during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Registration is FREE through Eventbrite and will grant you access to any and all of the sessions. Click here to register.
