The Elgin Federation of Agriculture recently hosted a Waste Oil Day where they collected used oil and used batteries for recycling. The event provided farmers an opportunity to safely dispose of and recycle their used oil. They offer an environmentally-friendly service that helps to prevent on-farm spills and waste.

All proceeds from recycled batteries were donated to local 4-H programs.
